     Personal Umbrella

It is not inconceivable that you could become the target of a million dollar or more liability suit. Law suits for large amounts of money are much more common nowadays. Are you protected against such a claim?

At present, you probably have two policies which protect you to some extent in the event of a large dollar law suit...

If the law suit is the result of an auto accident, your automobile liability insurance would protect you up to your policy limits, however this is not enough for the million dollar claim.

If the law suit is the result of home or family activities, it may be covered by the homeowner policy, but again only up to the limits, generally no more than $500,000.

The Personal Umbrella Policy protects you against the large law suit. It defends and pays a claim in excess of the amounts covered by existing Automobile and Homeowner policies to the Umbrella policy limit of $1,000,000 or more.
Don't let this happen to you...

A man on vacation rents a boat. He runs into a water skier, severely injuring the skier’s legs. A large lawsuit ensues.

A homeowner is responsible for a fire that sweeps through his condominium complex. Several lawsuits take place.

One evening on the way home a driver does not see the stop sign and broadsides a city bus. Several occupants are injured, resulting in an extremely large lawsuit.

While playing golf, a man injures another player, causing serious head injuries, leaving the other player disabled, and a very large lawsuit results.
